The sacraments are not milestones we pass and move on from, they are encounters with God that shape a lifetime of faith.
Through the sacraments, God meets us in visible, tangible ways, forming us from the inside out. They anchor belief in real experience and remind us that faith is not just something we think about, but something we live, receive, and return to again and again.
In faith formation, particular attention is given to the sacraments that mark growth and maturity in the Christian life: Confirmation, which strengthens and sends us and the Eucharist, which nourishes us week after week. Along the way, Reconciliation teaches us how to return, be healed, and begin again.
These sacraments don’t simply complete a program, they form a rhythm for living the faith. They teach us who we are, who God is, and how grace continues to meet us at every stage of the journey.
If you would like to know more about our Church or to get connected with our ministries, please visit our main Church site.
In Holy Communion, we receive the true Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, given for our salvation. This sacrament unites us more deeply with Christ and with the Church as His Body. Nourished by the Eucharist, we are sent forth to live out our faith in love and service.
Sacramental Preparation: First Holy Communion
Welcome to this sacred milestone in your child’s journey of faith! At our parish, we walk alongside your family as your child prepares to receive the beautiful graces of the sacraments.
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion (Eucharist) is celebrated alongside the Sacrament of First Reconciliation at the end of the 3rd grade. Together, these sacraments offer our children a foundational experience of God's endless mercy and His nourishing presence.
To help us prepare for your child's formation, please ensure the following step is completed:
Baptismal Certificate: Because Holy Communion builds upon the graces of Baptism, your child must be a baptized Catholic to receive these sacraments. If your child was baptized in the Catholic Church, please submit a copy of their baptismal certificate to the parish office at the time of registration.
"I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst." — John 6:35
We look forward to partnering with you during this deeply blessed season of preparation. If you have any questions or need assistance obtaining your child's baptismal record, please do not hesitate to contact our parish office.

Teen Confirmation
Welcome to St. Joseph’s High School Confirmation Program! We are so blessed to journey with your family during this sacred time.
A question we frequently hear from parents is, "How long does Confirmation prep take?" While our formal formation process spans one year, we view this not as a single-year requirement, but as a gateway to a lifetime of faith. If we gladly dedicate four years of high school to prepare our youth for their future careers, we should invest even greater care in equipping them for their eternal calling as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Here at St. Joseph’s, we emphasize that receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation is not a "graduation" from religious education. Rather, it is the moment your teen receives the seal of the Holy Spirit, empowering them to live out their Catholic faith with courage and zeal. Our ultimate goal is for your teenager to remain deeply anchored in our parish community, growing closer to Christ through our Youth Ministry across all four years of high school and beyond.
It is a profound privilege to accompany your family as your teen prepares to receive this outpouring of sacramental grace. We look forward to witnessing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in their lives!

The Sacrament of God’s mercy, where we honestly bring our sins before the Lord and receive forgiveness and healing. Through the grace of absolution, we are restored to right relationship with God and strengthened to turn away from sin. Confession renews the heart and helps us grow in humility and holiness.
Baptism is the gateway to the Christian life, washing away original sin and making us children of God. Through water and the Holy Spirit, we are united to Christ and welcomed into the Church. This sacrament marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith.

Matrimony unites a man and a woman in a lifelong covenant of love and fidelity. Through this sacrament, spouses receive grace to love one another as Christ loves the Church. Marriage is a visible sign of God’s faithful and fruitful love in the world.

The Anointing of the Sick brings Christ’s healing presence to those who are ill, suffering, or facing serious health challenges. Through prayer and anointing with oil, the Church asks for strength, peace, and healing of body and soul. This sacrament reminds us that no one suffers alone.
If you need a priest for anointing when somebody is dying and/or funeral arrarmgemnts, please call the church office.
Holy Orders consecrates men to serve the Church as deacons, priests, or bishops. Through this sacrament, they are configured to Christ in a unique way to preach the Gospel, celebrate the sacraments, and shepherd God’s people. It is a call to lifelong service and self-giving love.
